Wadworth has revealed a fresh new look for its bottled beer range following on from the successful relaunch of its flagship 6X ale with the brewery’s high impact ‘Old Cool is the New Cool’ campaign.

Wadworth has revealed a fresh new look for its bottled beer range following on from the successful relaunch of its flagship 6X ale with the brewery’s high impact ‘Old Cool is the New Cool’ campaign.

The Devizes-based pub operator and family brewer has seen sales of its traditionally brewed ale double in supermarkets over the past 12 months and looks to continue driving growth in the premium ale sector by encouraging shelf appeal. The rebrand sees all seven of Wadworth bottles - including 6X, gluten free ale 6X Gold and golden ale Horizon – re-vitalised with an eye catching new look branded to EU labelling guidelines making them available for export to 11 countries.

Completed in association with award-winning design agency Tynan D’Arcy, all bottles have been updated with modern, colourful, attention grabbing labels that pep up their appearance whilst retaining the feel of Wadworth’s unique heritage. The updated look and feel reflects Wadworth’s commitment to pursuing innovative ideas to remain contemporary in the competitive off trade environment.

Elaine Beckett, head of marketing and communications at Wadworth, said: “There has been a great sense of anticipation about the new bottled beer design at Wadworth, and we’re excited to see how retailers and consumers react to the modern redesign. Wadworth is an energetic and forward thinking brand, and it’s important that our beers reflect this.

“We have over 100 years of knowledge and experience in craft brewing and have always moved with the times while retaining our brand heritage. The new look and feel is reflective of our status as a genuine original craft brewer that continue to cater for our original beer drinkers, but looks to target an emerging market of younger beer drinkers.”
