The Cottage is ideally situated with the New Forest and Portsmouth being only a 30-minute drive.  Netley Abbey, the well-preserved ruins of a medieval church & monastery founded in circa 1239 are just 1 mile from the public house.  The Ocean Village cruise terminal is also easily accessible
