The Daneway Sapperton

Rural Location in Cotswolds

The Daneway

Sapperton, Cirencester Glos. GL7 6LN

The Daneway idyllically sits on the edge of the village of Sapperton, in the heart of the Cotswold “area of outstanding natural beauty”.  Situated on what on the banks of what used to be the Thames and Severn canal the pub is hugely popular with walkers, cyclists and visitors to the area.  The pub benefits from a campsite for approximately 8 tents and has separate standalone showering facilities.

Trading Potential

This destination pub sits in our “good pub good food” segment and after complete refurbishment is trading to our expected levels with a split of 60 / 40 in favour of food. The rustic, rural ambience, inglenook fireplace and wood burners all add to the appeal of this pub.  The trade here is generated from the affluent local community, cyclists, walkers and holiday makers, regular quiz and folk nights help with returning business.  The campsite, with separate standalone showering facilities is a huge bonus for this site and compliments the food and drink offer, that makes the Daneway one of the “must go” destinations in the Cotswolds.

New Business Partner Profile

The new business partner here will ideally have good, solid catering experience, a passion for real ales and a determination to achieve the sites full potential.  Be community minded and sympathetic to the needs of locals and visitors alike.  This is an amazing opportunity for a business partner to build on an already solid business.
