The Plough is a 17th Century oak beamed traditional pub sat in an idyllic location opposite the green in the peaceful and affluent village of Shalbourne, just 3 miles from Hungerford.  Sitting in an area of outstanding natural beauty the Plough is very popular with visiting walkers and cyclists, with from strong support within the local community.

The pub has two distinct trading areas, the bar with an open fire place, seating for 36, a snug with sofa and can be accessed from the front or the back.  The restaurant has a central gas fired stove, bar and seating for approx. 50, French doors lead to the front terrace.  Fully fitted trade kitchen with wash up area and basement cellar.

 

External Areas 

The front terrace has 5 wooden benches and overlooks the village green, to the rear is a lawn area with benches and smoking shelter.  Car parking for 15.  A stable garage with loft (which used to house the village fire engine), freezer and laundry room.
