Maiden Bradley is a small Wiltshire village near the Somerset border and the home of the Duke of Somerset. It is in the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The Somerset Arms is located within easy reach of the A303 and just 4 miles from Longleat Safari Park and the beautiful National Trust estate of Stourhead - one of England’s greatest landscape gardens.
The Somerset Arms sits within our ‘Great Pub – Great Food’ segment, which is focused on serving good quality food with excellent customer service.
The current operator has built up a good level of trade and there is a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicant to continue to develop and grow the food trade through increased marketing activity to attract more customers from the surrounding areas. The new Business Partner will need to be very pro-active on social media, as this will also help to reach customers from further afield.
The Somerset Arms will also be undergoing an internal refurbishment to enhance the business. We would expect to see a split of 40% wet, 30% food and 30% accommodation, with an approximate turnover of £220,000.
