Bartons Mill pub receives £650,000 investment

Bartons Mill Pub in Old Basing, Hampshire is to open its own accommodation in July; The Barn comprising of 12 premium rooms so guests can now stay at the 17^th century pub and restaurant.

The new accommodation is the result of a £650,000 investment by pub owners Wadworth and has created four new jobs as a result.  Originally a 17^th century mill formerly known as Old Basing Mill borders the river Lodden and is a keen destination for dog walkers and wildlife and nature lovers alike.  The accommodation has been created using a barn that had sat on the site unused for many years.  Each room retains the traditional character of the building whilst offering all the home comforts guests now expect and there are dog friendly rooms also available.

Speaking about the investment, business development manager for Wadworth, Michael Phillips said, “This is great news for the area with the new rooms being added.  I’m very confident that the Barton’s Mill will provide business and leisure travellers a great B&B venue for local people and businesses alike, making it an even more popular destination”.

Guests can stay in the rooms from the 9^th July and bookings can now be made in advance of the official opening.  The venue also has a wedding licence and function rooms for private parties and meetings.
