Wadworth, the regional pub operator and family brewer based in Wiltshire since 1875, has created two new positions in line with the updated business strategy that new CEO, Chris Welham, is in the process of implementing at Wadworth. Gareth Webb has been hired as the head of property, while Mark Daniels has been appointed as the digital marketing manager.

Gareth Webb joins the business from Greene King, where he worked for five years as divisional property manager, prior to this he was a divisional director at Enterprise Inns and he also spent 15 years at Whitbread in various property roles.

Gareth’s new position will entail all aspects of property at the Wadworth estate, including acquisitions, disposals and capital investment. Gareth is responsible for helping develop the estate plans so Wadworth have a sustainable and growing business moving forward.

Mark Daniels has spent the majority of his working life in the technology and hospitality industries and prior to accepting his role at Wadworth, he worked at Inapub for three years, where he was director of digital services. Prior to this he ran his own pub for eight years, which has given him an invaluable insight into all aspects of the pub trade.

Mark is responsible for looking after all the estates’ digital marketing and new technologies, covering every aspect of a pub’s online presence, including CRM promotion for individual sites and new ways pubs can target their audiences.

Chris Welham, CEO at Wadworth, said: “Wadworth created these positions as part of our new business strategy, and I am confident we have got the best people for the job. Mark and Gareth have a wealth of experience in their sectors and in the hospitality industry as a whole, and I could not be more pleased to have them on board.

“Our main aim as a company is to continue to grow and to be sustainable in our business, and we really trust that Gareth and Mark will be able to guide us and help us fulfil these aims”.
