Put your best paw (and foot) forward for Wadwoof Walkies 2023

International Dog Day is coming up and to celebrate we’re back for a second year running with a pawsome event – a sponsored dog walk in aid of Dogs Trust.

After the success of our first charity dog walk last year, we are back again to mark this special calendar date, Wadworth-style!

On Friday, August 25, we’re holding our second Wadwoof Walkies, which starts and finishes at the Wadworth Brewery Tap & Shop in Devizes, SN10 1JW.

Kicking off at 5.30pm (although you can arrive beforehand for pizza and beer!), the walk is open to all dog-walkers and, of course, their four-legged friends in all their large, small, short, tall, fluffy, wiry, cuddly, loveable (you get the gist) glory.

We have arranged both an hour-long route and a 30-minute alternative to suit you and your dog, both set up with a water station along the way.

Rewards for the tail-waggers

There'll be no favouritism as we’ll be rewarding every dog that completes the walk with a rosette, as well as some treats and a much-deserved glug of dog beer that’s guaranteed to get tails wagging at the finishing line.

Treats for the lead-holders

For the humans, there’ll be hand-made pizza, available to buy from The Woodland Pizza Kitchen between 5pm and 8pm, as well as beer and other drinks to wash it down with from The Brewery Tap. We recommend pre-ordering your pizza before you set off on the walk.

You’ll also get the chance to have a professional photo taken of your dog looking their best with their Wadwoof Walkies rosette. We will share these with you after the event.

Just so you know, if it does turn out to be a sunny day, the route is mainly shaded with only one main road to cross.

Sound like something you and your pooch want to get involved with?
