Our beer gardens are our pride and joy. They’re all unique and the perfect place to soak up some rays and relax for as little or as long as you like. 

It’s difficult for us to choose our favourite because we love all our beer gardens for so many different reasons, so we decided to ask our customers the question. And this is what they had to say…

Top 10 Wadworth beer gardens

Cue the drumroll…here are our top 10 beer gardens, as voted for by our beer garden-loving customers: 

10. The Falkland Arms (4.2% of the votes)

The Falkland Arms is a 16th century former inn that’s located in the picturesque village of Great Tew. Surrounded by established trees and other greenery, the private, dog-friendly beer garden features a terrace and lawned area with plenty of seats and a heated canopy.

9. The Pheasant Carvery (4.7% of the votes)

Located in the Georgian town of Chippenham, The Pheasant Carvery has a spacious, dog-friendly beer garden, with a large decking and lawn area full of picnic benches and  surrounded by bushes and trees.

8. The Colesbourne Inn (6.1% of the votes)

Full of traditional English pub charm, The Colesbourne Inn is situated in the village of Colesbourne. The dog-friendly beer garden has a spacious terrace and south-facing patio, as well as stunning countryside views that are popular among bird-watchers.

7. The Greyhound (6.8% of the votes)

Nestled on the outskirts of Cirencester, The Greyhound is a countryside pub with an inviting, dog-friendly beer garden that overlooks trees and fields. Full of floral displays, the beer garden also has plenty of seats and a heated seating area.

6. The Green Dragon (7% of the votes)

Located in the superb rural setting of the New Forest, The Green Dragon boasts a large, dog-friendly beer garden with a playground to keep younger visitors entertained. It also features a heated canopy and lots of seats on the patio and spacious lawn.

5. The Red Shoot (7.6% of the votes)

The Red Shoot can be found in the heart of the New Forest National Park, with a dog-friendly beer garden that features an extensive patio surrounded by a large lawn that leads on to the forest. It also has lots of wooden picnic tables and benches and a heated canopy.

4. The Cleveland Bay (9.8% of the votes)

Situated in Valley Park, Chandler’s Ford, The Cleveland Bay has a beer garden that wraps all the way around the pub. There’s a patio area with seating and a heated canopy and a children’s play area, as well as a private beer garden that’s a real sun trap and surrounded by plenty of greenery.

3. The Barge Inn (11.5% of the votes)

The Barge Inn in Seend Cleeve is a canal-side pub, with a beer garden that overlooks the Kennet & Avon Canal. There’s a large, heated canopy, magical outdoor lighting and lots of table and chairs on the patio and garden area.

2. The Wheelwright’s Arms (12% of the votes)

The Wheelwright’s Arms is a country pub in St Nicholas Hurst, Reading, which is part of the rolling Berkshire countryside. The dog-friendly enclosed beer garden can be found at the back of the pub where there’s plenty of wooden seating, as well as a large sun trap patio at the front of the pub.

1. Bartons Mill (12.4% of the votes)

A converted mill brimming with history and charm, Bartons Mill is located in Old Basing in Hampshire. The beer garden spans a large riverside patio and garden area that features a working water wheel, plenty of seats, a covered seating area and atmospheric lighting.
