Wadworth Brewery Visitor Centre is a VisitEngland Hidden Gem

The awards keep coming for Wadworth Visitor Centre

Wadworth Brewery Visitor Centre was one of 76 top visitor attractions in England to receive an Attraction Accolade from VisitEngland this week.  A “Hidden Gem” award was given to the Wiltshire based independent family brewer following their recent visit by VisitEngland. It sees them in the company of other great days out including Highgrove Royal Gardens and the Tower of London.

The Attraction Accolades are designed to celebrate excellence within the visitor attraction sector.  The VisitEngland’s Accolades showcase businesses that ‘go the extra mile to provide a high-quality day out’.

Speaking about the award, CEO for Wadworth, Chris Welham said, “This is just fantastic news.  Our visitor centre team deserves this reward as every day they bring the history of our brewing to life.  Having this national accolade is well deserved”.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said, “England is home to world-class attractions right across the country, welcoming visitors throughout the year and offering experiences of the highest quality including excellent food and drink and outstanding customer service.   It is also really fantastic to see these accolades recognising the work of those employees, managers and owners who make sure that all who pass through their doors have a truly memorable experience.”

Last year the Wadworth Brewery Visitor centre and museum saw visitor numbers in excess of 17000 people with brewery tours up 3.7% on 2017 and sales in the shop up 9.7%.
